Well, I've come into one of the universities computer suites for a lab this morning at 10:15… what a farce! First off the machine i originally logged onto (which was the last available in my designated area because 5 were broken) crashed everytime i got to the start menu which i had to reach using the keyboard because the mouse was broken… *Sigh*. So then I moved machine and now that my lab is over and I want to browse the internet, Internet Explorer hangs at every available oppertunity. So I've managed to get here and still have 20 mins to kill before my lecture, might go get a coffee to keep me awake.

Well things on my course are going groovy, apart from the stress of money, i'm doing ok. I've been trying to keep on top of my Final Year Project report and so far so good. Had a meeting with my FYP Supervisor, Dr. Bing Wang, a very nice guy and he seemed excited that i was going to use barcodes to uniquely identify products in my database. I've been advised to concentrate on the database side of things because i suppose that's where he thinks the marks lie. Good advice I think. well this afternoon is AU afternoon(Athletic Union), No-body in uni has any lectures(unless thier really unlucky!) so that they can train with thier AU clubs. A stroke of genius on the universities part if you ask me! But seeing as I'm not in any AU clubs (untill I join karate, Come on Dave!) then I might go home and do something a little less energetic, like sleep. Catch you all again!

I've gone and broken my apache web server, doh? Right when I had a big bug that I can't find!!

I'm having some problems with the archive functions so i'm going to disable them for a while. doh, hate it when this happens. If anyone can suggest a way of fixing a "No input file specified" error in php then please help me!! For now, it's on the back burner!

So this morning was my first set of lectures and I got a bum deal by way of Monday lectures. On weeks 2,4&9 I have a 9:15 final year project lecture and every week I have a 10:15 commercial games process lecture which despite it's time in the day I think I will enjoy a lot. I am very much interested in the business/user side of computers as apposed to the hardware and programming side. Although I do enjoy programming a lot. As can be seen by the ever expanding features on my website.

So now I'm sat in the computer labs used mainly by the Computer Science and Engineering departments and the stations in here are actually appalling. It has taken me 30 minutes to load my admin panel and I've had no success reaching the msn web messenger website, which is really annoying. The stations just lock up when you try and visit a website, although why it's let me on my website so trouble free is beyond me!! It won't even let me get on my departments message board!!!

Today my housemate Naomi went to our Landlord (Unicom property services) and gave them a kick up the arse. We've been having numerous problems, problems that if they'd been sorted out when they acquired the house during the summer wouldn't be an issue. Most of the radiators in the house don't work or are unable to be operated and the water boiler keeps loosing pressure which suggests there's a leak somewhere, great!

Just to add to matters we've found out that our phone line does work and we can make and receive phone calls. I just don't get where Kingston are coming from!!! Unicom are sending some guys round to FINALY install the network for the house so when we get the broadband turned on we can actually access something!! It's all just stressing me out!!! I think the final year project meeting this morning has just tipped me over the edge and I'm now starting to panic!!

My housemate Kwame has just joined me in the labs so killing 45 minutes shouldn't be too hard now, so rant over until next time

AAAAAAHHHHHH!!! Kinston are annoying me already and we don't even have a phoneline yet!!! They called me today to tell me that they're going to charg us around £60 to get the phone line up and running… WTF! For those that don't know it's very hard to use any other phone and internet provider other than Kingston in Hull as they have a monopoly. So they tell me that the line is broken and they're charging me for getting a repair man out!!! It takes the pish!!!

Anyway, am very low on cash now seeing as I had to buy a new hard drive because mine is, i suspect on it's way to the technology afterlife.

Registration for uni tommorow and then the start of a what I feel is going to be a difficult year. Ho hum, at least I get my loan soon

So seeing as we've got no internet or phone line in our new house, I've had to drop in at The Hub internet cafe to check my ever increasing amounts of spam. So while I'm here I thought I'd post a message seeing as my admin panel is fully functional. This is the first time I've used it for it's intended purpose of updateing from anywhere I want and apart from internet explorer centering everything by default it's working pretty well. I just hope it posts alright

So hopefully we'll have the house wired up for broadband in the next couple of days like the housing company said they'd do before we moved in. We're also getting the boiler seen to today as it makes some pretty horrific noises and even drips once in a while, not a good sign I don't think. Only 8 days to wait until kingston activate the broadband, w00t!!

Today is my last day in Ripon before I go back to Hull for my final year at Uni. I've had a really good summer, havn't been out much but have had a great time working.

Today at Dish's I did some baking. I made 2 batches of scones, Some chewy chocolate slices and a tangy lemon cake. All went ok to say I'd only made scones and not the others.

Today was another slow day but was productive. I went home at 4 o'clock though because I wasn't feeling well. So tonight I've chilled out, relaxed and done some more coding on my admin panel. Was supposed to be doing some more packing but that can wait. Am very much looking forward to moving into the house on Saturday now, woo!!

…but I was at work today. A good day it was too. We were quiet in the morning but come 12 we got quite busy, then at 1 o'clock we were full. All the tables in the cafe were seated, wicked. So when it died again at 2:45 I wandered home through the farmers market.

Ripon has a market that comes along every so on, think it's once a month and has stalls of local farm fresh food. It's fantastic, last time I went we got some buffalo burgers and some black pudding burgers. Delicious. So today it's a French farmers market and it's great! I got some blackberry jam, some Persian roasted pistachio nuts and me and my Mum shared some different flavoured Turkish delights, the mint one was mind blowing, so tasty! So whilst I was looking round I found an oil stall, I was so tempted to buy a £25.00 set of three oils in stacking bottles, but I didn't. My Mum also got some French sausage, the dried type, an olive and a boar flavoured one. They look tasty. Anyway, tonight I don't plan on doing much, might watch a video when Claire gets here but other than that, zip! Work again tomorrow, I'm in all the way up till Friday, and then on Saturday I move back to Hull into our new house. Bonza!!

Today I got to lie in bed till 1:30pm. Wicked!!! So when i got up I counted out my spare change pot that's been accumulating for the past 2 years and had £65. If I'd been really strict and not taken anything out at all i'd proberly of had £165 but being a student means that I've had to dip into it quite alot. So I went to the bank with my wages from last week and this and managed to put £285 into my account. W00T!

So after having a coffee and some really nice coconut cookies i went and played pool with some mates. I lost the most which is really bad as most often i win

So tonight I'm going through to Claires for a bit. Catch y'all laters!!

Well I've got the next three days off, woo! So tommorow me and some freinds are going to Lightwater Valley theme park. I'm looking forawrd to it as I havn't been in years! Although I know once i'm there it won't be like I remember.
