Birthdays and Firewalls
Well, Friday night was a hoot, Danny Ashcroft a very good friend of nearly 10 years (omg) had his 21st birthday in Attic in Hull. I've not been in attic before and have to say it's plush! He rented the VIP lounge upstairs and it was very nice indeed. Danny got suitably wasted and was still recovering on Sunday. Great stuff. So Happy Birthday Mate, Many Happy Returns
On Sunday Me, Claire and Kwame went and watched Firewall at cineworld in kingswood. A pretty good film and one which as a computer science student I only went "Thats complete and utter crap" once, something to do with the firewall. Or at least it sounded like utter crap, it could be that I don't know anything about what he was saying I admit.
The film is basically about a banks security 'guy' who has built the banks state of the art network. Very clever guy. Without giving the plot away he's blackmailed into stealing money from the very bank he's been protecting for 30 odd years. Good stuff. I'll admit, I enjoyed swordfish but this is sooo much better.
In other news, Claire and I were trying to get tickets to this year Leeds Festival but failed… ok, gave up. Seetickets.com was taking the beating of it's life and we decided to save our money and try go skiing, much more fun.
